Suryacitta Malcolm Smith

(AKA the Happy Buddha) began practising mindfulness meditation in 1991 and started teaching in 1996.
 
Though he practised within the Buddhist tradition and was ordained into the Western Buddhist Order in 1999, his teaching is a secular.
 
He teaches mindfulness meditation in Leicester, the East Midlands and Nationwide, and run workshops and longer retreats on mindfulness in the UK and Europe. He also lead events on loving kindness meditation.
 
His first book Happiness and How it Happens - Finding contentment through mindfulness was published last year by Ivy Press.
 
He also teach a stress reduction programme in companies, schools and the NHS as well as leading courses and retreats for the public in Loughborough and Nottingham.
 
he has completed teacher training at Bangor university in mindfulness based approaches. 
 
 
About Gaynor


Gaynor quilter from Leicester in Vietnam
Gaynor Quilter has over 20 years experience in the corporate world through consultancy and work as Chief Executive of a variety of charities in London, including Alone in London. 

At the moment runs a charity in the city of Leicester, and supports Suryacitta on retreats and courses. She is a qualified life coach and has been meditating for 7 years. She is also a practitioner of Yoga and Chi Kung which she teaches on retreats.
 
Gaynor has also trained in mindfulness based stress reduction - MBSR at Bangor University. She currently lives in Leicester.
